Rapid Deployment: LPVO
$575.00
Location: Heber, AZ
Training Facility: Sierra 1 Site
Ammo load out: 500 carbine rounds
Course Overview:
This course is designed to develop a comprehensive understanding of the versatility and practical application of carbine-mounted Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO) systems. Students will receive focused instruction and live demonstrations on LPVO capabilities, limitations, and optimal employment. Techniques introduced in the classroom will be reinforced through progressive drills, scenario-based training, and rapid-employment lanes conducted throughout Sierra 1 Site.
This specialized program develops the rifleman’s ability to effectively employ LPVO-equipped carbines in both close-quarters and extended-range engagements. LPVO optics bridge the gap between the speed of a red-dot sight and the precision of magnified optics. This course emphasizes how to fully exploit that versatility through deliberate optic setup, efficient manipulation, and sound marksmanship fundamentals under realistic conditions.
Course objectives:
Proper setup, zeroing, and configuration of LPVO-equipped carbines
Efficient magnification management and rapid transitions between CQB and distance engagements
Application of LPVO reticles for holdovers, wind calls, and range estimation
Solidification of rifle marksmanship fundamentals and positional shooting
Close- to mid-range engagements under time and performance pressure
Practical application through scenario-based and movement drills
Recommended Equipment:
-Rifle with a properly mounted LPVO (minimum 1-4x; ideally 1-6x, 1-8x, or 1-10x)
-Duty vest or battle belt to carry magazines and other equipment.
