Precision III (May 15-16, 2027)

Precision III is our most advanced precision rifle course and is designed for experienced shooters who are ready to apply their skills in a faster, more demanding environment.

This course focuses on rapid engagement, rapid deployment, movement, positional problem solving, and accurate shooting under time constraints and elevated stress. Students will be challenged to quickly build firing positions, identify and engage targets, manage equipment, make fast corrections, and transition between shooting problems while maintaining accuracy.  

Conducted throughout Sierra 1 Site, Precision III makes full use of the facility’s varied terrain and purpose-built training areas. Students will work through run-and-gun style precision lanes, timed stages, rapid deployment drills, positional challenges, and multiple-target engagements designed to test both speed and consistency.

The course is particularly well suited for experienced competition-style precision shooters and law enforcement/military professionals responsible for designated marksman who want to improve their ability to rapidly deploy precision standard operating procedures in dynamic conditions.

• Barricade and improvised-position shooting
• Shooter/spotter communication under pressure
• Stage planning and shooting efficiency
• Decision-making under time constraints
• Competition-style precision stages and performance evaluations

Students should arrive with a properly zeroed rifle, established ballistic data, reliable ammunition, and a strong working knowledge of precision rifle fundamentals.

*Completion of Precision II or equivalent advanced precision-rifle experience is required*

*Must be physically capable of moving at a brisk pace with equipment for extended distances at higher elevation*

Round Count: 500 rounds (.308 or 6.5 Creedmoor)

Lodging: Free on-site camping is available with plenty of room for tents, vehicles, and mid-size trailers. Bring your own dinner and drinks, and join instructors and fellow students around the campfire after training.
