Join us at Sierra 1 Site, our private 100+ acre training facility outside Heber, Arizona, for two days of foundational precision rifle instruction.
Precision I is designed for shooters who are newer to precision rifle shooting or who want to build a stronger understanding of their rifle, optic, ballistic data, and long-range fundamentals. Students will receive hands-on instruction from Special Operations and AZPOST/NTOA-certified SWAT sniper instructors in a private and practical training environment.
The course begins on our flat range, where students will focus on rifle and optic setup, principles of zeroing, basic ballistic concepts, and building reliable data for their individual rifle systems. From there, students will gradually progress into field positions and precision shooting across different areas of Sierra 1 Site.
This course is focused on building confidence and familiarity behind the rifle rather than advanced sniper tactics. Students will learn how to better understand their equipment, interpret ballistic information, make basic windage and elevation corrections, and apply those fundamentals in realistic terrain.
Training includes:
- Long gun and scope familiarization
- Rifle and optic setup
- Zero confirmation and basic bore sighting
- Basic ballistics overview
- Introduction to chronographs and ballistic calculators
- Building basic DOPE for your rifle system
- Fundamentals of prone and supported positions
- Basic positional shooting
- Progressive long-range engagements based on shooter ability and environmental conditions

Round Count: 300 rounds (.308 or 6.5 Creedmoor)
Rifle Type: Bolt-action or semi-automatic precision rifles permitted
Lodging: Free on-site camping is available with plenty of room for tents, vehicles, and mid-size trailers. Bring your own dinner and drinks, and join instructors and fellow students around the campfire after training.
