Course Overview:
Instructed by Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (AZPOST) and National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) certified SWAT instructors, this intensive 4-day Advanced SWAT Sniper Course is designed for experienced law enforcement precision shooters assigned to or supporting tactical teams.
The course focuses on refining precision marksmanship, fieldcraft, and sniper–observer team integration through a balance of classroom instruction and supervised live-fire and practical evolutions. Students will enhance their ability to analyze wind and environmental factors for long-range engagements, collect and apply ballistic data, and execute coordinated, simultaneous engagements as part of a sniper element.
Operational emphasis is placed on law-enforcement-specific mission profiles, including overwatch for tactical operations and critical incidents, observation and intelligence reporting, and time-sensitive target prioritization. Students will also be introduced to the integration of unmanned aerial systems (UAS/drones) to support target identification, communication, and coordination during overwatch operations.
The course further incorporates long-gun CQB concepts to prepare precision shooters for operations in confined and urban environments, as well as instruction on the construction and employment of tactical hide sites to support surveillance and overwatch missions.
